SteelFab has scaled to new heights with every edition of the show during its five-year run (October 2004, January 2006, January
2007, January 2008 and January 2009). |
|
The number of exhibitors is constantly on the rise from 48 in the first edition to 231 direct participants in 2009. These participants
represented over 600 brands from all over the world.
Actual floor space has increased from 1,200 sqm (gross in 2004) to 15,000 sqm (gross) in 2008 to 18,000 (gross) in 2009.
As the existing 16,000 square metres of indoor exhibition space was fully utilised, additional exhibitors were accommodated in the
boulevard area between the halls and an additional temporary hall (hall 4B) for its fifth edition.
The direct exhibitor numbers from Italy, Germany, and other European countries have remained stable as compared to the
previous 2008 edition, whilst exhibitors from Turkey and China/Far East have seen an increase for SteelFab 2009.
Increased interest and participation was also registered from Spain and France.
There were about 40 Italian exhibitors participating under the umbrella of Ucimu-Sistemi Per Produrre – the Association of Italian
Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots, Automation Systems and Ancillary Products. |

Promos, the agency of the Milan Chamber of Commerce to promote the development of international activities of small and
medium-size enterprises in Lombardy, in co-operation with UCIMU, organised the collective participation of 18 of these Italian
companies from the Lombardy region to SteelFab.
SteelFab also featured a dedicated pavilion from Bavaria, Germany, in association with Bayern International. This pavilion hosted six
companies from Bavaria at SteelFab 2009.
