
SteelFab 2009 hosted more than 600 brands in a total exhibition area of 18,000 square metres, featuring the Middle East’s largest
display of machinery, machine tools, welding equipment, supplies,consumables and ancillary equipment used in the pre- and posttreatment
of steel. |

It attracted 6,463 trade visitors from the regional metal working,metal manufacturing and steel fabrication industry and related
segments of the regional economies. Of the total visitor turnout of 6463, about 4,857 visitors came from the GCC.
Among the GCC visitors outside the UAE, the highest visitors were from Saudi Arabia (48%) followed by Oman (19%) and Qatar
with 13%.
Apart from GCC countries, visitors also came from regional countries, including Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and
Yemen. A considerable increase was also recorded from Africa, with visitors from Algeria, Angola, Cameroon, Egypt, Kenya,
Liberia, Libya, Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia and Uganda.
The reach and exhibit profile of SteelFab also prompted large numbers of visitors from India, Pakistan and the Central Asian
countries of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. |
